Despacito First YouTube Video To Hit 6 Billion Views

Despacito continues to break records on YouTube passing over 6 Billion Views.  The hit from Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee yet again breaks another record after breaking the record of first YouTube Video to hit 3 Billion Views, 4 Billion Views and of course 5 billion views. Pretty impressive eh? 

Despacito which translates to “Slowly” in English hasn’t been taking anything slowly whatsoever in terms of views. The video was first released in January 2017 became YouTube’s Most watched video when it reached 3 Billion Views in August of 2017, at its peak when it was receiving up to 25 Million views per day.  It currently averages 2.8 Million Views per day on its way to reach 7 Billion views. 

Following slowly behind it, is Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” who both have over 4 billion views at the time of writing.

Adele still holds the title for fastest video to one billion views with “Hello” Which reached 1 Billion in 87 Days, followed 9 days later by Despacito at 96 days and Ed Sheeran just one day later at 97 Days. 
Justin Bieber still holds the title of most videos over one billion views, with 5 videos over the 1 Billion Mark.
